Screw conveyor is a machine that uses the motor reducing gear to drive rotation of the screw to impel materials, so as to realize conveying of materials. It can convey materials horizontally, obliquely or vertically. It is characterized by simple structure, small cross section area, good tightness, convenient operation, easy maintenance and convenient sealed transportation. In terms of the conveying form, the screw conveyor can be classified into shaft screw conveyor and shaft-free screw conveyor. In terms of the appearance, the screw conveyor can be classified into U-shaped screw conveyor and tube-type screw conveyor. The shaft screw conveyor is applicable to non-viscous dry powder materials and small-particle materials (e.g. cement, coal ash, lime, grain, etc.), while shaft-free screw conveyor is applicable to conveying of viscous materials and materials that are easy to wind. (e.g. sludge, biomass, garbage, etc.)
